Beacon Central houses the Beacon Central Community Resource Centre, Visitor Centre, Library, Landcare Office, Herbarium and a meeting conference room.

A Telstra mobile phone tower located east of the Beacon town site commenced operation in 2017, significantly improving the mobile service in the town. The wider Beacon region has limited mobile phone coverage.
