The Mt Marshall LCDC was formed in 1984 under the Soil and Land
Conservation Act 1945. The Mt Marshall Land Conservation District
Committee is a statutory authority having responsibility for natural
resource management in the whole of the Mt Marshall Shire.

The Beacon P & C is a volunteer organisation of parents and
community members working together to fundraise to assist in the
purchasing of equipment for the education of students at Beacon
Primary School. The P & C’s main fundraiser is the sale
of lunches during the Winter Sports Season. P&C meetings are
held once per term, new parents and members welcome.

Beacon Progress Association was formed in 1926 and continues to
work to provide and upgrade community facilities for the Beacon
Community. Meetings are held every 2 months
on Monday evenings. Interested community members are most welcome
to attend.

The Beacon Theatre Arts Club is an incorporated not-for-profit organisation
that essentially gathers interested performers each year to present
an annual Wine ‘N Dine production. The weekend of performances
take place in the Beacon Town Hall one weekend in April and provides an evening
of food, fun and quality theatrical entertainment. The performers
generally rehearse for approximately 6-8 weeks prior to the event
and are responsible for all aspects of the show, from costumes,
to lighting to direction. All levels of experience (or not) are
welcome. Membership fee of $5.00 applies.
The AGM for the Beacon Theatre Arts Club is usually held in June/July.

Beacon Toy Library
The Beacon Toy Library managed by the
Beacon Central Community Resource Centre operates
as part of Beacon Central. Toys have been purchased and collected to meet
the interests of the following age groups; 0-3 yrs, 4-8 yrs, 8 +
years. The wide selection of games, toys and sporting equipment
can be borrowed for a period of two weeks. The toy library successfully
caters for the children of the Beacon community, providing a bit of
variety and as a way to access otherwise unaffordable items.
Membership costs are per family, and can be obtained from the Beacon Central Community Resource Centre at Beacon Central
