St. Augustine's Beacon was Consecrated on 4 September 1957, after many years of worshipping in the old CWA building. In 1997, following a bequest from Mrs W Medlin, the porch/verandah area was built on to the original building, and this was well received by all worshippers. After the last Stipended priest departed, ministry was provided by a then new initiative called T.E.A.M. where local congregation members were trained and ordained to serve locally. In Beacon, ministry was provided by local priests, Rev'ds Peta and Gerry Kirby from 2000 to 2007. Peta and Gerry have since retired to Two Rocks from the local community but hold Worship Services when possible.
Mrs Ruth de Jong is the local contact person for the Beacon Anglican Church. She can be contacted on (08) 9686 1084.
Until recently Beacon congregation belonged to the combined Parish of Mukinbudin-Mt. Marshall which has since been dissolved by the Diocese of Perth.
